In addition, viscoelastic is reinserted underneath the scleral flap after its closure to prevent fibrosis in this potential space. Avoid overfill which could lead to a Descemet's detachment. A tight closure of the conjunctiva is encouraged in case suture lysis is necessary along with goniopuncture to encourage subconjunctival flow if collector system outflow is minimal.
