- The "Anterior Segment Imaging" instruction course will cover various imaging technologies for the cornea and anterior segment from basic to the latest development. |

- A comprehensive program including 3 symposia and one instruction course with the contributions from more than 25 experts in uveitis and intraocular inflammation (List of Chairs of Scientific Sessions).
- The "Infectious Uveitis and Intraocular Inflammation" symposium will be sponsored by the Asia-Pacific Intraocular Inflammation Study Group (APIISG).
- There will be two theme specific symposia tailored for those interested in this area. These include "Risks and benefits of local treatment in uveitis and related ocular inflammations", and "Updates and trends in intraocular inflammation".
- An instruction course with interactive cases on "How to find the clue to the etiological diagnosis of uveitis", a must for general ophthalmologists and ophthalmologists with an interest in uveitis. |

- This program will include two symposia focusing on critical issues facing Vision 2020 as this key blindness prevention effort moves into its second decade. The first of these, moderated by GN Rao, Nathan Congdon and Richard LeMesurier, will focus on cataract surgical outcomes from around the world. Data from China, Australia, Burma, Australia and Oceania will be included. A second session, moderated by R Pararajasegaram, Youxin Chen and Syumarti Mansyur, will focus on emerging challenges to Global Vision 2020, including glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. Speakers from China, India, the US, the UK and Indonesia will discuss the latest data and approaches on managing these complex diseases in a global context.
- The final aspect of the Vision 2020 program will be a session organized by the International Council of Ophthalmology on tackling ocular problems in developing countries and chaired by Dr Bruce Spivey of the US.
- We expect this unique program will be of great interest to ophthalmologist and blindness prevention program planners from around the world! (List of Chairs of Scientific Sessions). |
